We had tortellini in broth, tortelloni vecchia Modena, and two portions of frogs for Sunday lunch. The food wasn't bad, and the place itself is a very basic, old-fashioned trattoria without many frills. The problem came when we paid: there was no menu or displayed pricing, and the waitress had simply announced the dishes. At the cashier she worked out the total and we paid €140 without knowing what any course cost. I find that really unprofessional. Customers should be told the price of each dish. Without prices shown, you could even wonder if the amount is being decided at someone's discretion. Sorry, but that put me off going back or recommending it.

I came back after about twenty years and expected to see more customers. The place was clean and tidy, and the food was excellent quality. The prices still felt too high for my taste.

There were around thirty of us, and the price was very fair. We had delicious, super generous portions of tortelli verdi with sausage and gramigna, followed by tigelle and fantastic gnocco fritto, including some with Nutella. There were various desserts and coffee too.

For gnocco tigelle x2, a portion of fried frogs, water and a bottle of Lambrusco Sorbara Chiarli, we paid 75 euros. That was without bitter, dessert, or coffee, and the room was only hot. I'd recommend having a menu so people can check the prices and allergen information.

There was an issue with the condition of our room, but the next day the lady moved us into a better one without any trouble.
