AC Home

The owners were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was delicious, definitely worth trying. The apartment looks just like the photos: brand new, bright, clean, nicely furnished, and with all the comforts.

What we got didn't match the listing. We couldn't get hold of the car post, and the place was inconveniently noisy because of footsteps overhead. We paid for three people but only two of us could use it, since the third bed was awful.

Hosting people should come with at least a basic level of hospitality. We found none of what the booking had promised. I won't even get into the cleanliness, especially since they'd been told that a family member had a serious dust allergy.

The room was cramped and claustrophobic, at street level, with no windows or balconies. A level crossing was just 30 metres away, so we heard cars queueing when it was closed and trains passing. In Novoli, we were charged €375 for two nights in a quadruple room, even though I booked through Airbnb for €75 total and the owners accepted that booking. They messaged me on WhatsApp saying check-in was possible until 8pm. After I’d driven for two hours, I got a request for another €300. I have the screenshots. I contacted Airbnb, and after speaking with the owners, they confirmed the room for €75 total. Honestly, even that works out to €37.50. When I go to Paris next week, it’ll cost €300 for four nights, 300 metres from Disneyland. I’d avoid this place and these owners. Never again.
