Hotel Numana Palace

We visited in August 2016 and loved the location. Our room was on the second floor, directly facing the sea. Seeing it from bed when you wake up is priceless. We paid for the room and all meals, and the food was good. The room was clean and spacious, but it had no air conditioning. The building feels old-fashioned and needs some refurbishment in places, including the old bathroom tiles and the hall. Service at the table could be frustrating: the waiters were slow, inattentive, and often forgot things. They were young and inexperienced, so that was forgivable, but better training would help. We didn’t use the pool because the water was too cold. The beach is right across from the hotel. Nights were quiet, since the bars and restaurants are more toward Marcelli, though mornings could be less peaceful if your room was near the stairs. Coffee and cappuccino were made fresh each morning, and the croissants were excellent. It’s a nice place with a child, as the staff are kind and accommodating, and dinner isn’t too formal. Good value for money.
