Casa Cecilia in Nurachi

Casa Mediterranea and its magnificent garden are a real gem. We woke up there eight mornings in a row, and it became the highlight of our summer. Ivo and Rita put so much care into breakfast: fresh produce, homemade salami, tarts, dips, fruit platters, and cakes. It’s hard to beat.

Nurachi is a small village, but by car you can quickly get to all the best beaches in the region. Our two nights at Casa Mediterranea in June were unforgettable, and I learned so much. It doesn’t feel like a typical guesthouse; there’s a lot of heart in the place. Ivo and Rita are passionate, knowledgeable hosts, and I think it was the best place we stayed on our Sardinia holiday. They made breakfast with so much care and attention to detail. We prefer savory food in the morning, and Ivo adapted the meal for us, with plenty of choice and a delicate touch.

We only managed one night in late July, but we can’t wait to come back and stay longer with Ivo and Rita. The rooms are gorgeous, full of thoughtful details, and you can tell Casa Mediterranea is a labor of love. Our hosts treated us like royalty. We arrived late in the afternoon absolutely starving, and they quickly put together a delicious snack from homemade produce. Breakfast was fabulous too, with much of the food grown onsite. It also made a great base for visiting Tharros and the nearby beaches.

We felt the hospitality from the heart here. Everything was charmingly designed and very clean, and the breakfast was fantastic. Each day brought a different, fresh, healthy meal, thoughtfully prepared. Definitely recommend it! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
