The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the highway below made a lot of noise, something the listing didn’t make clear. The shower door wouldn’t close properly, and there was no fridge or coffee in the room, or any utensils like a corkscrew. The kettle only plugged in in the bathroom. There was creepy artwork on the walls. Breakfast was very poor, with a small selection, no cooked food or pastries, little fruit, and limited coffee options. The atmosphere was awkward too, since the breakfast host just stood there. We weren’t welcomed when we arrived, didn’t see the owner, and couldn’t get any tips or recommendations for things to do in Aosta Valley. There are many better alternatives in Aosta.

The kitchen at Le Jardin de Pierre looks out over the valley and mountains, and has everything for breakfast, coffee, cookies, fruit juice, milk, you name it. The rooms are beautiful, tastefully decorated, brand new, and very well equipped. EVs are especially welcome, with two nice parking spots and a type 2 charging station. If you don’t have a type2-type2 cable, the host can kindly lend you one. It’s a great place to start a bike ride. While in Nus, visit the Wine Note restaurant, have a drink at the wine bar in the Castle in the middle of the village, and check out Edileco, a very energetic company with a startup mindset.

For pilgrims on Via Francigena, the Cavallo room was super comfortable, with an amazing bed, and Nora was very nice. Breakfast and internet were good. It’s a bit expensive, and not an easy walk from any stores or restaurants.
