Don't assume it's closed just because Google Maps says so, the business has a different name now. I had dinner here and every dish was simple but exquisite, with bright, straightforward flavors. The crostini and tiramisu are worth having. That taste is going to stay with me as I travel around Italy. ❤️❤️❤️

The restaurant was good, though a bit overpriced. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the location has a wonderful mountain view. The rooms are cosy and really nice, with a fair price.

We had a spacious room, a very comfortable bed, and a spotless shower room, with a lovely view across the valley from the front of the hotel. Charlie, the owners' beautiful, very friendly Apenzeller dog, greeted us when we arrived. The pension is in a beautiful valley north of the Val d’Aosta, and we really enjoyed our memorable three-night stay. Breakfast at the Locanda was a buffet with cereals, yoghurts, pastries, bread and jams, plus excellent coffee. Gloria prepared and served dinner, and her knowledge of local ingredients and what she does with them is second to none. Over our three evenings we had a range of excellent dishes, all freshly prepared and cooked to order. The husband and wife who run the place work hard to make guests comfortable and well fed. A real gem.

I booked a room in February for one night in August, but had to cancel in March for health reasons. I paid the full amount and they refused to refund any of it. I've contacted them several times and they've ignored me. Be warned, don't book or pay in advance. DO NOT BOOK this hotel.
