Camillo at reception always greeted us with real enthusiasm. The rooms are simple and clean, and breakfast was included, with a nice range of choices. It’s good value for the price. The hotel itself is a little old now, though still in good condition. Its location is ideal, right by the centre of Omegna, and one side of the building faces the lake.

The hotel is clean and nicely located, and the service was friendly. We ate dinner in the dining room, which has a pleasant lake view. At €16 per person for three courses, it was reasonably priced, but the food was mediocre. The pasta was fine and there was plenty of it. The trout fillet was small, the vegetables bland and a little overcooked, and the roast potatoes were frozen rather than fresh. The bread was stale, and the desserts weren’t homemade.

The hotel is handy for visiting relatives at the orthopedic hospital, just a short walk away. Our room and bathroom were clean, and the restaurant served very good food at a good price. Breakfast was a good continental spread, with fresh oranges to squeeze yourself and a juicer, plus carrots, fruit, and ginger ready to juice. There’s a lake view, though traffic from the street below was quite noisy.

The staff are friendly, and breakfast is good. The rooms are decent for a 3-star hotel, though they aren’t especially generous in size, maybe like hotels across Europe. The little 10 ml shampoo bottle won’t get you very far.
