Aurora 31 - Suite & Breakfast

The woman who checked us in was very friendly, and they were flexible about our check-in time. It was clean and close to the Borghese Gallery. But the place wasn't as advertised. With temperatures nearly 100 degrees Fahrenheit, the air conditioning didn't work. When I mentioned the heat, the woman simply pointed to a single fan on the floor. The bed was wooden boards with a thin mattress topper. The so-called “terrace” was a window with an old wreath hanging on it. For breakfast there was a broken coffee pot and a stale, dry waffle in packaging on a shelf. The toiletries were an assortment of opened, used items left by previous guests.

They lost my reservation, even though I had booked months before, and I only found out on the day I arrived. The staff admitted it and offered me a room for just one night, though I had booked 10 days and paid half in advance. They wanted twice the rate. This hostel is a joke, and I strongly don't recommend it to anyone. Keep away from this trash.

We went with our 2 years old son and were provided with excellent babysitting services. The host was very accommodating, and the environment was beautiful. Great location. Highly recommended.

There was a foul smell, with bugs, dirt, and mold. The beds were uncomfortable, the toilet wouldn't flush, the bathroom door wouldn't close, and the bidet leaked. I don't recommend it.
