What we especially liked was how reassuring it felt to hear the village carrying on at night. The apartment sits right in the middle of a lovely little town, and the owner was so kind. You can hear the street late into the night, though, which may not suit everyone.

Being right in Omegna’s centre made this a lovely place to stay, and Lake Orta was very easy to get to.

Even with every window shut, the noise made it feel like trying to sleep in a busy restaurant. Cooking smells kept coming up because the restaurant kitchen downstairs looks onto the stairwell. There’s just one air conditioner for three bedrooms, and it can’t really keep up.

We had plenty of room and found the apartment spotless, with everything we could need. The beds were especially comfortable. The owners were kind and ready to help, and the place felt very cozy.

Omegna is right there in the centre, and the lake is stunning. We had beautiful rooms and such friendly hosts. A top holiday 👏👏👏👍👍😎
