There's plenty to do on foot, with walks and hikes nearby, and the family gives helpful directions and advice. The house is also brilliantly located, with a convenience store, a church, and three restaurants almost on the doorstep. We were made to feel so welcome, and breakfast was a carefully chosen buffet. On Sundays it becomes a champagne breakfast! We were lucky enough to join a wine tasting in the house cellar with all the guests. It was a really gezellig experience, and this is a perfect place for a holiday.

We stayed in one of the holiday apartments in mid-September and would love to return. They're truly beautiful, renovated with great attention to detail, and the sauna in the bathroom is the icing on the cake. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful every morning, and the Amplatz family welcomed us so warmly each day that we felt very comfortable. The central location in the small village of Montan puts the bakery, butcher, and village shop right outside. There are great nearby excursions by car or bicycle, and the hosts gave us extensive advice on them.

Breakfast was fantastic every morning, and the guest card helped us take some great excursions. We usually parked for free at the train station in nearby Auer and often traveled by train. The place is wonderful, with friendly hosts, right near the heart of town. There are three restaurants close by, a small supermarket next door, and around the corner a great butcher, a super guy, and a bakery with local delicacies.
