The receptionist was super nice, but we had to leave in the middle of the night because of the mosquitoes. The campsite is on a lagoon, and the sheer number of them was unlike anything we'd encountered, even in India and the Far East. Our kids were terrified as thousands flew into the camper whenever we opened the door, so we had to get far away from the lagoon. Also, the men's toilets were closed, and the women's toilets and showers were covered in mosquitoes.

We'd definitely stay here again, and recommend it for the friendly staff. They helped charge our phone battery pack while we were traveling by motorcycle, then came to our rescue after torrential rain when the bike wouldn't start, getting us back on the road. It's a short walk to the beach, and the campsite has a mini market, bar, and restaurant serving pretty good oven-baked pizzas. The toilets, showers, and washing facilities were clean and working. Showers are free for women and currently cost 50 cents for men, though they're working on making them free for everyone. The camping spots are beneath big pine trees, which gave us shade and some shelter during the storms.

The staff were friendly, but they should have told us that during our whole week there'd be a group of 250 students and parties every night with a very bad DJ. The site could be nice, but it feels old and poorly maintained. The bathrooms were quite dirty, and there are no toilet seats in the men's toilets. Some of the signs in the toilets also felt kind of degrading toward guests.

We stayed two nights in a small tent, and I wouldn't recommend this campsite. At first, everything seemed OK, though we were already disappointed by the sanitary facilities. Warm-water showers cost extra, the women's showers had what looked like a cattle grid underfoot, and the facilities were generally a bit dirty. After two nights, they still hadn't cleaned the showers at all, and the state of them had become disgusting. In one women's shower there was what looked like human feces on the floor below the grid, left there for two days. We saw a cleaning lady near the block, but she was trying to sweep with one hand while on the phone.
