Via del Centro

The location is right in the center and the place is stylish, but it was too noisy for us. We were there Monday night and the bars stayed open, with people having fun until 2 am. Also, please provide duvets or blankets. Just bed sheets were too cold for some people, even though it was 22 degrees outside, and without AC there was no air to breathe inside. We called the hosts and were told there were no duvets or blankets. That’s the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

The Eleonora Suite is spacious and has an original built-in garden, and the place feels very new. It’s a great base for exploring the city. Breakfast is served at a nearby cafeteria, simple but enough. There’s no parking on site, though there are lots of parking areas nearby, some paid and some free. It can get busy on weekends and in high season. Definitely recommended.

The room was disappointing, with a shower door missing, broken towel hooks in the bathroom, and a velux window curtain that wouldn’t open. We also had a room without windows, so there was no daylight. The location is good, right in the very center of oristano, but the room was deteriorated.

Dining around the guesthouse was easy, with everything from salami and cheese shops for an evening aperitivo to casual pasta places and full restaurants. It made a handy base for seeing Oristano and enjoying its food scene. Via Del Centro Guesthouse is right in the heart of the city, beside a magnificent olive tree that looked decades old, maybe even over a century, and facing a bright, elegant square where locals and tourists gathered. Restaurants nearby kept the area lively. The building felt typically Sardinian, with white walls and small windows that let in plenty of daylight. Inside, the lighting and bathroom were bright and well maintained. Maybe because it was off-season there were few guests, and it was very quiet. I had an elegant stay, almost as if I had the place to myself.
