Relais & Chateaux Villa Crespi

Breakfast was wonderful, with excellent butter and produce, high-quality prosciutto, salami, cheese, and coffee. It ran until 10:30am. We lingered a little past that, then were politely told they were setting up for lunch next door at 10:40 and that we had “10 minute.” They stressed they weren’t trying to rush us, but that felt hypocritical. I said ten minutes wouldn’t make a difference. I’ve never had that happen at a Relais & Chateaux property either. Dinner was disappointing. We ordered a la carte, and the turbot and sole were both cooked at low temperature, which wasn’t to our taste, though that’s personal. The wine service was odd too. We ordered by the glass and wanted to begin with white wine. They introduced it and poured a full serving straight into the glass without offering a taste first. I’d never encountered that at a 3 Michelin star restaurant. It came across as overconfident or simply unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We loved the location on the strip, with lots of places to eat nearby, a good casino, and the super fun Beer Park right out front. Our room was nice and very quiet, and we visited June 2025. The caulk in the bathroom had mold, though. Please get that sorted.

Dinner was memorable, and all the staff deserve praise. Thanks to Silvia for taking such wonderful care of us at reception. I’d booked three rooms for my family and dinner for a small group, hoping to give my elderly parents a special, memorable treat.

The room was beautifully furnished and better than we expected, with a great lake view. Dinner was delicious, served with care in a comfortable atmosphere. My friend and I stayed one night with a dinner reservation, and the staff were incredibly kind. Checking in and out was easy too.
