Residence Granvara

The owners were great to communicate with, and getting extra bed sheets was no problem. The accommodation itself was just okay, nothing luxurious. We could hear other guests very clearly through the walls and ceiling, the Wi-Fi was really poor, and the heating couldn’t be adjusted. In the shower, the cold water didn’t work. The kitchen had several irritating issues: the light was extremely loud, the hot water made noises, and there was only one socket, too far from the appliances. We had to use a single-socket extension lead and unplug one appliance before using another, like the microwave after boiling water.

There’s a shared washer and dryer in the laundry room, plus lockers for skis and boots. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We liked the apartment, which was clean and spacious, and the garage had plenty of room too. From the patio, the view over Ortisei is awesome. Just be aware that sound carries easily through the wall if you get a loud neighbor, especially with the patio door open in hot weather.

It’s great to have a kitchen and washing machine, and the place is close to the Seceda cable car. Hotels in Ortisei can be quite expensive in summer, so I was lucky to find this one at a more manageable price.

I called to ask about reserving a room and was told it was possible and that an offer would be sent. I confirmed, and he said he’d get back to me within an hour. It’s now been a week and a half with no response. I can’t reach anyone by phone on either number, email, or WhatsApp. I hope nothing bad has happened, but some kind of out-of-office message or a handoff to someone who can reply would help. I have no idea whether the room is still reserved.
