La Chiusetta

The views over the valley and medieval Orvieto were incredible. The estate is spacious, beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained, and our room looked much nicer than it did in the photos. We had three days of pure joy there. Breakfast was great: cheese, tomatoes, meat, cakes, croissants, coffee, tea, and fruit. The two cottages look like something out of a fairy tale, covered in greenery and decorated so tastefully you'd want to live there. We also had dinner there, which I'd recommend: homemade food by a chef using local ingredients. The olive oil we bought was fresh and really tasty. The host and staff were lovely. I highly recommend this place.

I only stayed one night, but I definitely want to come back next year. This stunning place on the Umbria hillside is about a 15-minute drive from picturesque Orvieto. With plants and flowers everywhere, it felt calm and like home.

The children are welcome here, and there's a playground and a pool on site. It's a beautiful vineyard with a bed and breakfast in the heart of Umbria. The food is great, local, fresh, and organic, and the wine is even better.

From the property you can stroll around the grounds or hike to the pretty little villages nearby. Orvieto is just a short ten-minute drive away and well worth visiting. Set in amazing countryside opposite the town, „la chiusetta“ is a calm, quiet place that could make a perfect base for a longer trip around Umbria. The rooms are shady and cosy, the staff are friendly, and the owner gave us a very warm welcome. Dinner had a good choice of food in a lovely setting. We'll definitely return.
