A lovely home away from home, with cozy rooms, comfortable beds, gorgeous grounds, and kind, attentive staff. Definitely stay for the delicious family style dinners. It’s a must if you’re driving through Orvieto.

Rita and Allesandra’s cooking class was probably the best day of our 15-day trip to Italy. The instruction was concise, and my wife and I could recreate what we learned when we got home. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the grounds are lovely. This will be our base on our next trip to Italy.

We had a lovely afternoon making tasty food with useful advice from the cook. It was relaxed, fun, and informative, and we picked up some good tips. Eating what we’d made was really satisfying. I only wish we’d had a coffee after the meal before driving back. There was also a friendly three-legged kitten.

Gianpiero was friendly and accommodating, and all the staff were extremely nice and gave top notch service. We also loved the food and had a great time on the truffle outing. We stayed at Locanda Rosati with our two kids and had a nice visit. We’d first looked at Tuscany, then chose Orvieto because it was closer to Rome, our base. They arranged transport from the train station, so we didn’t need a car. For more than one or two nights, though, I’d suggest renting one, even near Orvieto station. The good reviews proved accurate, and you’ll have no worries if you book here.
