I only stopped here by chance because it's close to the highway, but the unique building and lovely town have convinced me to return for a vacation. The people are friendly and laid back, the room is large and has AC, and the hotel is clean. A total hidden gem, highly recommended!

We expected much more. The rooms and bathrooms were tiny, everything felt very outdated, and the pool didn't look as nice as it did in the pictures. There were so many flies around that we didn't feel like using the pool. The service was good, but we spent as much time away from the hotel as we could because we didn't enjoy staying there. For 150 euros a night, the price and quality didn't match at all. We wouldn't return or recommend it.

Breakfast was good, but getting around without a car was a problem. The hotel is far from Orvieto station, and before booking we were told there was a bus every 30 minutes from there. That wasn't true: buses leave from Orvieto station, which is 2 km away on foot. The hotel called a taxi that tried to charge €20 for the five-minute ride to the station, while we found taxis online for €10. It's only €10 more, but the principle matters since €10 is the standard fare.

The villa and the people were nice, and it's in a great area away from the busy part. The price isn't cheap, so breakfast should be better. They were missing some simple things, and when we asked, the answer was just that they didn't have them.

The restaurant food was even better than the beautiful hotel. It's a great place, and not too far by car from old orvieto. I can't say enough good things about it.
