Really good food, and the entertainment was great.
The kids could play safely around the resort and enjoy all the different areas without worry. There’s lots to do, and padel was my favorite. The resort is beautiful and very family-friendly, with an entertainment team that’s fun and lively without being intrusive. Special thanks to Peo and Tommaso for all the little things they did each day to help make our holiday as good as possible. I wish them the best!
I strongly advise against staying here. We were there for a week with our family, and the first four days brought a string of problems. After several of us asked to speak with the owner, the man introduced himself as Francesco. He listened to our complaints, then asked what we had paid. I gave him the amount the agency had quoted without going into detail. He replied that he paid around €70 per person per day, or €280 a day for our family of four, and said the service was in line with the price. I was so disappointed that I walked away in disgust after reminding him we had booked a Nicolaus Club resort, described as a 4-star resort and known in Italy and abroad. The welcome was poor from the start. Staff in Bermuda shorts and T-shirts greeted us beside drinks that had been left in the sun. While we waited for help moving our bags, a young man in jeans and a T-shirt asked whether anyone wanted lunch, saying that people who accepted would leave at the end of their holiday with breakfast. I agreed because I have a one-year-old daughter. He then told us the dining room closed at 2:00 PM, giving us only about 10 minutes since it was already 1:50. We managed to feed our little girl with what was left on the semifreddo trays. Our room was assigned afterward. It had a lot of dust, cobwebs and dead spiders, so my wife had to clean and tidy before we could unpack. The beach arrangements were frustrating too. We had no assigned umbrella and had to wait each day for the attendant to give us a lounger, depending on his mood. In the restaurant, the dishes were always the same and served cold. They seemed to have been prepared and put out about an hour before the dining room opened. There were no ingredient or allergen labels, and no gluten-free food. The waiters served without hats or gloves, which I felt violated current hygiene rules, and seemed to be occasional or seasonal workers rather than professionals. During the storm between Wednesday and Thursday, we woke to find our slippers floating. Our room, like many others, was flooded, with water coming in through the window seals and the bathroom ceiling.
The place itself is beautiful, and we met some lovely families, so in the end we still managed to have a good time. Alessio, the waiter, was always polite, as was the assistant manager. But all the problems made the stay a huge disappointment, and I wouldn’t recommend it. We were there from September 7 to September 14 with my husband and our dog. The rooms were tiny and dirty, with stained towels, hair in the bathroom, dusty windows and cobwebs on the walls. They say there’s daily cleaning, but it amounted to a quick mop, and the rest stayed dirty. I’d paid an extra €100 for the dog and expected something, but there wasn’t even a bowl. Breakfast was limited. Hot drinks came from a machine, and for people who can’t have milk there was only cold milk to heat in the microwave. The waiters said they didn’t have a milk frother for cappuccinos and told me to go make one at the bar, for an extra fee, even though we’d paid for all-inclusive. There were no suitable foods for people with intolerances, such as croissants, just biscuits you can get at a supermarket. The shuttle to the beach was punctual and worked well. At the beach, though, rude staff directed us to an umbrella in the back rows, where the sea was far away, even though nobody else from the village was there. The beach bar also said all-inclusive only applied at the village, although the quote mentioned the beach. Lunch was the worst part. The food was frozen, cold, and had no allergen labels. The pasta and sauces were cold, and staff didn’t know what ingredients were in the dishes, which was especially difficult for me because I have allergies. Dinner was much the same, with food recycled from one day to the next. Morning entertainment was almost nonexistent: a little muscle toning on the beach without music and a couple of games that changed by the day. There was nothing much for kids beyond playing in the sand. At the pool there was aquagym and beach volleyball or soccer. The mini-club was there, but very limited. In the evenings it was the same old baby dance songs and music quizzes behind the lounge bar, with no shows from the entertainment staff. Paying €70 for a club card and getting so little fun felt like a scam. I understand it was mid-September and they might have been tired, but we paid the same as people in August and expected the same service. The owner’s response was another low point. A mother found a piece of plastic in her son’s ice cream, and he said, “It can happen!!!” We were also rudely told we’d paid €70 per person and asked what we expected, then told that was the food we had to eat.
We stayed as a family from August 31 to September 7, 2025. The grounds were well kept, the entertainment was engaging, and the pool and beach service were good. But the restaurant really needs attention: breakfast didn’t offer much variety, and at lunch and dinner the food was always cold. It was almost impossible to get a hot meal. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, and the shower had no glass screen.
