Dimora San Giuseppe Hotel & SPA****

Breakfast had so much choice and tasted great, and the staff were warm and efficient. Our room felt bright and airy, with strong air conditioning and a bathroom stocked with premium shower products. Highly recommend.

Room 304 worked really well for our two-night stay, and the town was only a short walk away, handy for our cycle tour. We also enjoyed cocktails served by the very friendly staff. Breakfast was tasty too.

We stayed in an executive room and found it very clean, with a particularly spacious bathroom. The hotel is quiet and has a relaxed feel. It's an easy five-minute walk to the old town and esplanade, and from there Otranto is easy to explore on foot. The car park is a few minutes away, with an attendant there for much of the day.

The spa facilities were underwhelming, and even using the pool cost extra. I expected better from a four-star hotel. Our room, 101, felt inferior to the others. It was right by the entrance and set farther forward, so anyone coming in could see us unless we kept the curtains closed. That left us choosing between daylight and privacy. Unlike the other ground-floor rooms, it had no covered sitting area, and the bathroom was up a staircase, with the wardrobe on another level too. In my view, this room shouldn't have been used. At 7:15 in the morning, staff were dropped outside our room and talked loudly. Then the driver beeped goodbye. Not a great wake-up.
