Residence Altair

The area was wonderfully quiet, and the pool was great. We stayed six nights at Altair in a studio meant for two to four people, and it was just right for the two of us. There was a kitchenette, fridge, and small indoor table. It was a little outdated, but nothing major. With the good weather, we ate in the lovely small backyard. The property is surrounded by trees, with a small shop within walking distance. The beach is about 900 meters away; we didn’t mind the comfortable walk, which has some shade even on hot summer days. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we had no misunderstandings. The beach was clean and had clean public restrooms, but to really enjoy a day there you need to rent a beach lounge, €20 a day for two people. That felt pricey, and it would be nice to have beach amenities included instead of paying extra. We only had breakfast at the Altair restaurant and wished there were more choices and variety, though the coffee was great. There’s also a laundry room, but it wasn’t very pleasant and could have been cleaner. Lots of cats roam the residential area, so bring some cat food if you’re coming by, they’d appreciate it. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend Altair to people who don’t mind a longer walk to the beach and like a peaceful place.

We slept really well here, especially with the lovely temperatures in the evenings. The hotel is set in nature, and the pool area is shaded by trees, so it never got hot. From the moment we arrived, staff were so nice and helpful. Breakfast was great, and the cleaning crew did their job perfectly. We’re so glad we found this place and will definitely come back. The complex is beautiful, well cared for, and very peaceful, with a pool area we especially liked. Everyone on staff was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the superior villas, which we thought was great value for money, and the apartment had everything we needed. If you want a quiet base surrounded by a lovely pine forest for exploring Salento, this is a great choice.

We really enjoyed our stay and wholeheartedly recommend this peaceful resort. The studios were clean and beautifully furnished, and the whole place was very clean. There’s a good-sized pool and a lovely breakfast. The beach is a seven-minute walk away, with frequent free transport from the hotel.
