Hotel Residence Aurora

The room was clean, quiet, and pleasantly spacious, and it's easy to get to the train station. The front desk staff were lovely. In my room, though, the bathroom lights were quite dim and the shower seemed small compared with the rest of the bathroom.

The room itself was wonderful, clean, cozy, and comfortable, with free parking. The kitchen had everything for a longer stay: dishes, cutlery, a microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. There was also a washing machine, ironing board, iron, and more. But construction started at 6 am and was very noisy. My rating is low because of what happened with the TV remote. When we checked in, it was missing, so we called reception. The manager searched the cabinets and under the sofa, then said he'd bring one shortly. We were hungry and told him we'd go out and collect it from reception when we got back, since we didn't want anyone entering while we were away. After dinner we went to reception, only to be told it was already in the room. They had brought it in while we were gone, despite our having discussed this beforehand. The manager ignored what we'd asked, and that wasn't right.

We found a spacious, nice apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, fast WiFi, and parking inside the gated grounds. The staff were friendly, and the location was top notch, with an ice cream salon, eateries, and a small supermarket nearby. It's a 10 minute walk to the train station, then 20 minutes to Milano Cardona station in the city centre. I'll try to book here again next time I'm in Milan.

The room was fresh and clean, with several bottles of water on the table, a welcome touch in summer. We arrived very late because our ship from Greece to Italy was delayed, but we could still get inside and pick up our room keys. They'd also turned on the air conditioning, so it was lovely to walk into a cool room. Everyone was really friendly. We take lots of road trips with our kids and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!
