La Colonnina

The breakfast stood out most, especially the care the chefs put into it, right down to the cappuccino designs. Service was amazing, and our room was comfortable and clean. We loved the stay, and the location made it easy to get around on foot. I'd happily come back.

We loved how quiet the hotel was, set back from the main road, while still being close to the water for swimming and lounging, restaurants, and lots of shops. The rooms were spacious, the bed was amazing, and the air conditioning kept us comfortably cool during the hottest part of late June. It was the best AC of our whole trip. Getting there takes a short trek from either the parking garage or the train, but the hotel gives clear directions when you book, and the location is worth it. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We also enjoyed the terrace for drinks. They offer a train discount for visiting other Cinque Terre towns, and buying the ticket directly from them on arrival was easy. A wonderful stay, highly recommended.

The location was ideal, with great Monterosso restaurants just steps away and an easy walk to both the beach and train. Even so, the hotel felt quiet and peaceful. I stayed three nights, and the staff took great care of me. They welcomed me with fresh-made lemon juice on the front terrace, and the front desk helped plan my hike for the next day, including booking the park pass tickets. The room was clean and comfortable. Perfect place to stay!

Breakfast was the highlight, especially the homemade pastries and tortes made by the talented French woman. The atmosphere was lovely, a perfect start to the day, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We knew ahead of time that the beds were twins, which is unusual for us Americans, but they turned out to be comfortable. The room decor was chic, and the views and location were beautiful. It was our favorite place to stay in Italy. We'll be back!
