I needed a room while my baby was hospitalized in Padua, and the lady booked it for me without any issue at first. Then the hospital called to reschedule my son's stay, and she made excuses about not giving me the room. That wasn't my fault. I wasn't going there for a vacation. It's a shame I can't give zero stars!

I travel a lot in Italy and abroad, and I work with the public, so I'm familiar with how these situations can go. I come to Padua often. On my last visit in February, I booked this property for two nights and accidentally got the dates wrong, which had never happened to me before. Once I noticed, I told the manager it was my mistake. I'd already canceled and paid the full amount, so I asked whether they could offer a partial refund or find a better option for later dates. That would have left them the chance to rent the room again from at least the following day. They only told me to contact Booking.com or look for available dates there. Before writing this, I contacted the owner directly and explained what had happened last time, hoping we could find something that worked for both of us. The response was very unresponsive. They offered me the same price I'd paid, or more than the rate listed on Booking.com, even though a direct booking would avoid their commission and similar fees. The most they offered was a €5 discount. When it came to charging the full room cost, they didn't try to accommodate me, even though they hadn't included cleaning fees, assuming they don't cover those. The manager and owner both handled this terribly, and I strongly recommend you avoid the place. Customers aren't always right, but when people are willing to understand and explain these things, they always try to work something out somehow. That doesn't seem to be the case here. I have screenshots of the whole chat and am keeping them, but I'll spare you. If I could, I'd give a zero.

The owner gave us the information we needed, then left without much cheer. Our room was clean and very minimal. It's on the second floor, with no elevator and no outdoor parking. We also had other people in the apartment who liked talking in the kitchen at 2 a.m., which made for a pretty uncomfortable stay.

I've stayed here twice, and it's my favorite place. It's clean, welcoming, and a great central spot for getting to the hospital quickly.
