M14 Hotel & Spa

We couldn’t sleep after two student buses arrived at the hotel on the second night. We’d already had to change rooms because the air conditioning was too weak and the stores weren’t working on the first day. I can’t pay to be welcomed under these conditions. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing, go elsewhere. It was a waste of money and energy. Also, I’d never encountered a spa access fee before, despite having stayed in many places.

Parking behind the building was easy, and the location is right downtown, near the square, the castle, the dragon bridge, and the markets. The room was spacious and quiet, with a very comfortable bed for two. The TV was awkward to use with two controllers. The front desk said movies didn’t need a PIN, but all except one did, so we watched the single movie available. The shower head was damaged, which made it hard to use as a tall person. I’d strongly recommend this place.

The room was small, just as it looked in the pictures. We stayed three days at M14 Hotel & Spa, and the location was great, just steps from Prato della Valle and near Padua’s historic center. The price worked for us compared with other central hotels. Breakfast was great, and the staff were ready to answer questions and help with requests. Bikes are available if you’d like to explore the city that way. I recommend it.

The hotel charged us for a room we never used after refusing to refund us when they couldn’t provide the two single beds we’d booked. Our confirmation clearly showed that choice, so we shouldn’t have needed to make a separate request. On arrival, we were given one double bed instead. Reception said no other rooms were available, then offered us another room that was already occupied. They didn’t make several attempts to resolve the problem, and we’re still trying to get our money back. We never stayed there, yet the booking wasn’t cancelled and refunded. When I posted my complaint on Booking, the replies were full of lies, as the attached photos and confirmation show. They keep lying instead of fixing the issue. I’m extremely disappointed and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. They gave us the wrong room, wouldn’t put it right, and charged us anyway.
