We slept really well here, and the location is handy, just a few kilometers from the Certosa. The rooms have been refurbished and feel comfortable, modern, and stylish, so ignore the old photos showing bunk beds. The food was a highlight: traditional home cooking, more like what a local grandmother might make than the restaurant meals we’d had elsewhere. The produce and wine all come from the farm. Do yourself and owner Francesco a favor and come by.

The food was all homemade on site, and every ingredient and preparation seemed carefully handled. We also found the bill fair, and the place, including the bathrooms, was very clean. For Sunday lunch we booked ahead, which I recommend, and were seated right away on the lovely outdoor terrace. The road up is a bit steep and might put some people off, but the view and what’s here make the climb worthwhile. There’s a play area with ping pong, table football, and a playground for younger kids. A staff member was especially knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

We went on January 1st for pasta and chickpeas, and also tried some appetizers and desserts. Everything was delicious. The family running the place were warm and kind, and offered us water and house wine. It felt welcoming and homey, with a lit fireplace. You can pet the horses and admire a stunning view over the valley too. Highly recommended!
