Camping Baia Saraceno

The beach is nice, and the water was clean. What stood out most to me at the campsite was the staff, especially the bar team. The older man on the afternoon shift was really friendly and chatty. The bar itself is great, though I missed having somewhere cool to store food, like a freezer for people in tents, and a place to charge phones or power banks. Electricity was very expensive at 10€ a day, compared with around 4-5€ at other camps. This was our first campsite in Sardinia and we thought it was pretty good at first, but further along we found several cheaper places that were better maintained.

Giulia from Brazil made check-in easy and gave us lots of useful information. I also liked being able to choose our own spot. With the uneven terrain, letting guests pick seems better for both the campsite and visitors than setting out fixed parcels. The place was clean. The market's pricing made no sense to me: beer there was 3€ and not refrigerated, while a cold beer at the bar was also 3€. I don't expect the market to sell many drinks at those prices, and the approach felt dishonest and silly for everyone. The lights stayed on all night. A handful of people going to the toilet doesn't seem worth keeping them on when hundreds of guests are trying to sleep. The extra electricity cost aside, melatonine matters too. I thought that was a poor choice.

We liked it enough to extend our stay to more than a week. The campsite is super clean, with the toilets and showers cleaned at least three times a day. The bar has a nice vibe and makes yummy cappuccino, and the restaurant pizza is the best. Palau is close by. We’re a family of four and were happy here. Facilities are well maintained, the hot shower was great, and the playground is almost entirely shaded. The beach isn’t fine sand, but it’s lovely for kids to go in and play. The bar and market are open for most of the day. Highly recommended.

The camper spots by the sea are hard to beat. Bathrooms were clean, and the showers don’t have a meter ♡ Just a heads-up, there’s no toilet paper, only hoses. There are the usual facilities, plus a very cool bar and restaurant. Everyone takes siesta, so if you arrive around midday reception is empty, though the boom is open. We picked an empty spot and came back later. Will be back!
