Club Esse Capo D' Orso

The place was wonderfully quiet, close to town and the beach, and our clean apartment was only a few metres from the beach and right by the swimming pool. We had lunch at Club Esse, the food was nice, and the staff were polite. They kept the kids entertained with night shows at the beach and swimming pool, so it seems great for families. We booked five nights and now regret going somewhere else in Sardegna for the next six.

The location and the view were lovely, and we had plenty of space in the very clean rooms. The kitchen had a good supply of dishes and utensils, though no cleaning products. One bathroom was missing toilet paper and soap, but we asked and they brought some. The main issue was the air conditioning: it was only in one room, so our upstairs room got very hot at night, despite the listing saying there was air conditioning. The pool also shut quite early.

The staff were really nice, and getting a free upgrade from a one-bedroom to a two-bedroom apartment was a nice surprise. There was plenty of space, but the old beds were awful and we couldn't get hot water for a shower. One of the two pools was closed, and the pool that was open required a shower cap. We visited in October. I wouldn't stay here again.

The fancoil in my room didn't work, even though I told management on our first day. I also found the evening entertainment intrusive when I stopped by twice to look. It felt very 80s, and the shows seemed too focused on women, more like "drive in" than something for everyone. I'm not a fan of entertainment in general, either. The village beach umbrellas were packed close together, with barely enough room to open your arms without bumping the people next to you. The grounds were well kept, the rooms were nice, the staff kind, and the garden and little beach had a beautiful view. My average rating reflects the rooms and surroundings as a 4, and the other parts as a 2.
