La Stregatta

La Stregatta is even nicer than the photos, in a fantastic setting. I hadn't expected to discover this region, and it was a great surprise. Highly recommended.

A beautiful place, and a family that makes you feel welcome. After a peaceful night's sleep, we had a sweet breakfast. Those homemade biscuits were AWESOME.

The hosts were really attentive, and the place is beautiful. I felt right at home.

Barbara, the owner of the B&B, made everything easy before we even arrived. She sent detailed directions on WhatsApp without us having to ask, which helped us find the property, get in on our own, and make our way through the medieval village. Thanks, Barbara, it was a wonderful stay and one I'd happily repeat. Our room was up on the highest level, with intriguing views over the rooftops and valley. It was small but full of light, with unusual windows, plenty of storage and hanging space, stools, TV and WiFi. The old stripped-wood niches and shelves were put to good use, and the furnishings and colors brought everything together. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was nicely equipped and tastefully renovated, with scented towels, a hairdryer, and soaps. The B&B sits in a multi-story farmhouse that's been renovated and carefully looked after, right down to the hallways. It fits beautifully into Triora, and there are little cats on the walls here and there. Breakfast was simple but generous in a lovely room on the ground floor: homemade cake, brioche, bread, biscuits, jam, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and juice, plus whatever else you fancy, like ham and eggs, cappuccino, coffee, or tea. The place has a really relaxing feel. Triora is worth seeing too, especially at night when it's lit in the right places. It feels almost magical and took us back nearly a thousand years. A little corner of paradise, and an exceptional experience.
