Naples always has something new to discover, even for Neapolitans. This building is a great example of that. Via Toledo is full of historic buildings worth seeing. Go take a look for yourself. Highly recommended!

The palace began as a 16th-century home for Count Simone Vaaz. Carlo Vanvitelli later renovated it in the 18th century, following plans by his father Luigi. In the 19th century it belonged to librettist Marquis Francesco Berio. It was altered again in 1922 when Piazzetta Augusteo was built. Today Palazzo Berio stands across from the Galleria Umberto I, an elegant building with a lot of history.
At 256 Via Toledo, Palazzo Berio, once called Palazzo Vaaz, sits across from the Galleria Umberto I in San Ferdinando, just off Piazzetta Augusteo. Inside, there's a fountain in the garden. The mansion took its name from its 19th-century owner, Marquis Francesco Berio di Salsa, an opera librettist and poet. The building has striking residential properties with plenty of character and value. It could suit someone looking for a home in central Naples or a long-term investment. You can take in Bello's architecture from the outside along Via Toledo.
The apartment is lovely and right in the center. The owner was warm and kind, too. I'd recommend it.
