The rooms were clean and nice, in a good central neighborhood. Self check-in went smoothly, and I enjoyed the breakfast at a nearby cafe. Communication was a hassle, though. Staff only texted in Italian and refused to communicate in English, so I had to translate everything and we ran into problems. Checkout at 10am was very early, and at 7am staff were loud and slamming doors. I’d forgotten to pay the 4€ city tax. The owner wouldn’t take PayPal and wanted an extra 10€ for a bank transfer. I don’t understand the issue over 4€ when the room costs 120€ a night. The rooms were nice, but staff should handle guest communication more professionally.

The room was lovely, and the location was perfect for us, close to the train station and a local supermarket.

The owner was kind and helpful, but I wouldn’t return. I stayed for a day, and a 3:00 PM check-in felt too late to me. Everything was self-paced, though the instructions were clear. The room was freezing and took a while to warm up, especially given how large it was. It didn’t feel like a suite: the bathroom walls were damp, the door had dirty splashes on it, and there was no bidet. The hot tub was already filled, but had residue inside. The owner said it was limescale, but I didn’t trust that explanation. I also found the shower confusing, with a handle missing, and the steps from it to the rest of the room were very slippery and dangerous. Slippers and the usual suite kits were missing too. The welcome bottle was there, but the stay was disappointing.

I booked through WhatsApp, and the host was friendly and thorough, explaining everything in detail. The place is central and easy to reach by train or car, with free parking easy to find on Via Messina Marine. The room was great for a relaxing day, with a sauna, mini-pool, two bathrooms, and a bedroom. Everything had been thought through, and it was spotless from the water in the mini-pool to the sauna, bathrooms, and entrance. Highly recommended.
