I had a good rest in Palermo, and I'd recommend staying here if you get the chance. It's also a lovely family home, especially if you have young kids: the owners have three boys your children can interact with. My room was bright and nice, with a little balcony for the morning sun. The bathroom was a good size, and there's a writing desk in the lounge if you need to work on an article or a long review. Free WiFi was decent enough for Netflix. The place feels authentic and is close to several tourist spots. There is a restaurant downstairs, though whenever I noticed it, it seemed to open after I'd already eaten elsewhere and was heading home. For better sleep, close the brown outside shutters before bed. I left them open because I wanted to get up early and explore. Also unplug the TV at night: its blue standby light startled me awake the first night, and I thought aliens had come to kidnap me. It was just the Telefunken TV. Lovely family, lovely home.

We stayed for four wonderful days in a beautiful apartment that's well furnished and has excellent kitchen facilities. The bathrooms were comfortable, with plenty of hot water. There are a few stairs to climb, but by the second trip you get used to them. Since it's so central, we hardly needed public transport to see the monuments. There are some nice bars downstairs, popular with young people, where it's pleasant to stop for an aperitif or after dinner. The owners were very kind and helpful. Good for groups.

We felt the warmth of southern Italy as soon as we arrived. Ermanno and Alessia greeted us with big smiles and a delicious cake they’d baked for breakfast. They're truly sweet and kind owners. The house is beautiful and spacious, with every comfort. Truly WELL DONE!!! 100% RECOMMENDED!!
