Ambasciatori Hotel

My husband and I came from Japan last year, and this was one of the loveliest hotels we've stayed in. It's close to Palermo centrale station and to lovely shops, sights, and beautiful churches. Everyone on staff was kind and gentle. Booking here really was the right choice. We loved having breakfast on the rooftop, with its beautiful view over the city. The sounds, not too noisy, are good memories of Palermo for us. Grazie miille tutti. We'd love to stay again.

The rooftop has the prettiest view of the city, and breakfast was included with my room, so I got to eat up there. The rooftop is also called 7 restaurant if you want to reserve a table for the evening. The street gets really noisy at night, and I had trouble sleeping at first, coming from an extremely quiet country. By the second night I'd adjusted. I love this place. You can get around the city easily, and it's a must visit.

The restaurant terrace has a stunning view. It's a great spot in the center, on Via Roma, and the staff were excellent and very helpful.

We used the hotel as a base for six days in Sicily. The location was excellent, and the rooftop bar was the highlight. The staff were very helpful, and for the most part understood our NZ English. Our room was cleaned really well each day, with the sheets changed every three nights. It's a typical hotel in an old Italian building, which was fine, though more towels and bathroom supplies would have been useful. The hot water mixing valve in our shower needed attention. There didn't seem to be a guest lounge, and on a very wet day our only option was to stay in the room. If we came back, we'd ask for a street-facing room with a balcony if possible.
