Attico 37 - Suite con terrazza privata e cucina

We had a lovely stay at Attico 37. The room suited us perfectly, especially the terrace, which we made full use of. The kitchen and bathroom were clean, the beds comfortable, and reception was there for us even though we arrived very late on our first night.

The morning sun on the balcony was a highlight, and the location is very central, just steps from the train and bus stations with lots of restaurants nearby. The apartments were pretty good for the price. Communication was tricky because the staff spoke little English. They made the beds, but didn’t change the bath mats, and only replaced towels when needed. The surrounding area also felt a bit unsafe and dirty. Decent apartments in a handy spot, with some things that could be better.

We had a mixed three-night stay. The place is modern and beautiful, with a nice patio, elevator, and complimentary water and snacks. After an issue, they also gave us a bottle of wine as an apology. The staff fixed problems when we raised them, and the place was clean. We had ants in the room, so they moved us. There was no hot water the first night because of maintenance, and the mattress was thin and uneven, so anyone with a bad back should be warned. The Wi-Fi was bad, the kitchen sink clogged, and the garbage bin was broken and wouldn’t open. The front desk employee didn’t speak English. It’s in a very poor neighborhood, with a park right beside it where there were junkies. I wouldn’t return. The beds weren’t comfortable, despite the nice patio and view.

The place was clean and the staff were nice, and having reception open around the clock was handy. But it was very, very noisy. We stayed a week and it was full of students, with noise going until 1 or 2 a.m. and starting again in the morning. The walls felt like paper: I could hear neighbors talking on work calls, and sleeping at night was a nightmare even with earplugs. The last person still woke me at 8. If you’re a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend it.
