The apartment is stylish and has character, though a bit dated, on the first floor of a building on a side street off viale della libertà in Palermo. It isn't convenient for people with disabilities: after the few steps at the entrance, there are about ten more steps up to the floor. Trendy, popular bars and restaurants surround it, and the area gets busy on weekends. Some rooms face a street that becomes crowded and noisy late into weekend nights. Breakfast was fairly good and well stocked. The staff were kind and professional, and the price was good for the quality.

The rooms were neat and clean, with comfortable beds and bathrooms, and communication with the owner was easy. It’s a handy spot for Palermo’s attractions. There was some noise from the bar opposite, but it wrapped up at a reasonable time and I slept well. I’d come back.

The weekend nightlife does reach this central Palermo spot, but it adds to the feel of staying in a lively city. The people out enjoying it should be mindful of others. The place itself has quiet elegance and welcoming hospitality, and minor flaws don’t take away from that. I hope to come back soon.
