B&B La Piazzetta

The room felt quite cold in April, which was the one downside. Still, the views were amazing and breakfast was great. We arrived very late after our flight was heavily delayed, but communication was excellent and they waited for us. An excellent B&B.

A clean, welcoming B&B, and the owners are kind and helpful. Breakfast is generous, with a lovely coffee machine that makes different coffees and cappuccinos. There’s usually parking in the small square. We’ll come back when we’re working in Monreale.

There were no real downsides for us. Wi-Fi was available, though it wasn’t very fast. Parking is in the nearby "piazzetta." The owner was courteous and helpful, welcomed us, gave us the keys, and explained breakfast. It was varied and plentiful, with mini muffins per person, crepes to decorate, biscuits, fresh or freshly baked croissants, toast, yogurt, hot drinks, and more. The spacious room had a king-size bed and an en-suite shower bathroom, and it was clean. At €48 per night for a double, the price was average or a little lower, plus €2 per person in tourist tax, which unfortunately isn’t cheap. Villaciambra, a hamlet of Monreale, is about 15 minutes from Palermo, and we found the location convenient. Recommended as a good base for Monreale or other places.

There’s a bus stop right outside, so getting to Palermo or Monreale is easy. The owners were super helpful, and the generous breakfast was a treat. Rooms are large, the mattresses are very comfortable, and the place and bathrooms were clean. The living room has a big window with a breathtaking view. A must-try!
