B&B La Tua Dimora

The room was large and comfortable, and the staff were very nice and helpful. It’s just outside the city center, on a main street, but our room faced an inner courtyard so it wasn’t very noisy at night. Mr. Giovanni looked after a very good breakfast and was kind and attentive. The bathroom was a bit humid and on the small side. Still, good value.

I paid for an online booking, then the owner messaged to say I’d be staying at another hotel near the railway station because he had some problems. He made that decision without asking me or giving me a choice. To get my prepaid money released, I had to cancel the booking myself. He didn’t want to lose anything under the cancellation policy, and I ended up losing a few euros to my bank. Totally unprofessional.

At 2 a.m. on the day we were due to arrive, they messaged to say they wanted to move us to another property. They said they were only hoping for one night, but gave no further details about the place. We canceled through Booking and found somewhere else to stay.

For a warm, home-like stay with real Sicilian hospitality, this is a lovely and safe choice. It’s a small, traditional family-run place, so anyone expecting luxury, modern design, and a five-star hotel experience may be happier elsewhere. Some reviews mentioned old fixtures or simple table settings, and that made me a bit sad to read. Giovanni is incredibly kind and carefully prepares breakfast every morning, making you feel at home. His daughter Giusy is very helpful and quick to answer questions. The location in Palermo is great, and this little family business is truly special 😊
