Everything was clean, and the basic room had working AC and WiFi. The setup felt a bit like a student dorm, and despite the “bed and breakfast” label, there was no breakfast. For seeing Palermo’s historic monuments, though, the location is perfect: right in the old center, with everything less than a 10-minute walk away. The street got pretty loud at night, so I was glad I had my AirPods.

This isn’t a traditional hotel, more of an apartment hotel, but it’s a good concept with well-equipped rooms. There’s a very nice attendant, and the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the water pressure great. They even provide housekeeping. Right in the middle of the tourist area and main sights, so it works well for a day or two.

The location is a 10/10, right in the heart of Palermo, so it’s easy to explore, come back, go out for dinner, and return again. Ross was there to meet us and hand over the keys, and check-in was fairly easy. Our room was the one we’d booked, though it looked different from what we expected based on the website photos. I understand each room has its own design, but stating which room you’re booking would help set expectations. The rooms are big and spacious, and the balcony is nice. The mattress could be better, and the AC was only in the living room, not the bedroom, though that wasn’t a big problem for us. We also appreciated being able to leave some bags after check-out because our flight was later.

I strongly advise against booking. The mattress was very cheap, and we left with back pain. They call it a bed and breakfast, but it’s a badly managed Airbnb type of place, with disastrous communication. If you’re lucky, other guests will let you in, and the host is hard to reach. There’s no breakfast: we paid for it but were told to go to the neighboring bar. Since the barman had received no message from the host, we ended up paying the bill ourselves. After numerous calls, the host promised to refund the breakfast, but we never got it. We had prepaid 90 EUR for 3 breakfasts for 2 persons, so the host was effectively stealing that money from us 😑.
