The area felt creepy to walk through after dark, and there was garbage everywhere. Once we got inside, though, we felt safe. We even spotted a street scammer we’d seen downtown the day before being escorted out by police. The monitors are explained well, but platform changes happen often, so keep watching. Police and rail staff were very helpful. The McDonald’s was clean and good for coffee and breakfast, though the counter worker took my receipt, which had the toilet code on it. He said the toilets cost 2€. I called him out about taking the receipt and code, and he gave it back.

There aren’t any plugs for charging your phone. The toilets cost 1.50€ and take coins only, no cards, though there’s a machine to exchange notes for coins. Most ticket machines didn’t work properly with either card or cash.

It gets busy here, so keep an eye out for pickpockets.
