Case D'a Mare Mondello

The owners would not consider refunding the unused days after my accident. It happened on 28 April, and I’m still recovering and receiving treatment. I have appalling scars on both legs. I needed hospital treatment for very serious leg injuries, including stitches and wound dressings to stop the bleeding, and could hardly walk. I had to return to the UK as soon as possible. I fell in the middle of the night through an unguarded gap of about one metre where the bedroom floor meets the steep stone staircase. The drop onto the stone stairs was probably around 5/6 feet. There was no handrail at all. After the accident, we reconsidered the apartment’s safety and concluded that the stairs from the main entrance onward are very dangerous. Anyone with any kind of difficulty walking would also struggle with them. The second photo shows the hazardous entrance from the front door, and the first and third show the unguarded gap at the top. This was a terrible experience, and the accident was through no fault of my own.
