There was a nice balcony, and both the room and bathroom were nice. The staff were really friendly and helpful, though there could be a language barrier if you don't understand any Italian. I was the only foreign guest there, from Switzerland, while the others on the list were Italian. The atmosphere was great.
The location is excellent, close to all of central Palermo, and the cleanliness was top notch. Mr. Stefano and his wife are wonderful, so kind and attentive to every little detail. They made us feel completely at ease. We stayed a few days ago and had an excellent experience. Greetings and a big hug to Mr. Stefano and his wife from Daniele, Ilenia, Gabry, and little Bea🫶
The B&B is in a great spot, just steps from central Palermo's main sights, including Teatro Massimo and Teatro Politeama. From there, you can catch a bus to Mondello's beaches, about 40 minutes away. Mr. Stefano and his wife gave us a warm welcome and made sure we had a peaceful, safe stay. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is clean, and the stay went beyond what we'd expected. The owners were attentive and very helpful, and Palermo itself is beautiful. The room was spacious and very clean, with an excellent location for walking around the center. The main issue was having to use a bathroom outside the room. It's about 15 meters down the corridor, so you have to carry your things there and back to shower. The light sensor should be removed: the light goes off every five minutes or so, and since it faces the door rather than the bathroom essentials, it doesn't come back on right away. One tip: don't eat at the market. Restaurants cost less, and at the market they'll rip you off.
The location is central and well served, but the host wasn't welcoming when we arrived, which wasn't the southern hospitality we'd expected. The bathroom is outside the bedroom, and we would have appreciated being told that when we booked. The shower stall is tiny, the light cuts out quickly while you're washing, and you have to step out wet and soapy to switch it back on. Hot water isn't always available.
