The host sent all the check-in information, and getting in was straightforward. The room was very clean, with cleaning service and fresh towels every day, plus a comfortable bed and a nice jacuzzi for guests to use. It’s in a newer building away from the dirt and noise of the city centre, but still within walking distance of Palermo’s tourist spots. I’d recommend the suite if you want to sleep well on weekends.

The owner left us a bottle of nice brut to enjoy, which was a lovely touch. We had a beautiful experience in a nice room with a really comfortable bed and a jacuzzi inside.

I was really disappointed. The finishes look excellent and might justify the price if everything were in working order, but as it stands, the room falls well short of what they’re asking. I wouldn’t have booked it if I’d known all this. The in-room whirlpool was a big reason I chose this B&B after seeing the photos, especially since so few places in Italy offer one. But half its jets didn’t work. Exactly half the spotlights worked too, the area above the tub had no lights, and the bedside lamp couldn’t be used because its batteries were dead. I told the kind Floriana about the lighting, and she said she’d see if someone could come, but nobody showed up. She did bring us some other breakfast items, though that didn’t fix the problem. There were other issues: the shower selector was broken and stuck on the shower head, and an outlet under the bathroom sink was held in place with masking tape. The soap provided was intimate soap diluted with water. The TV wouldn’t show mainstream channels like Rai and similar ones, and the bed sagged badly in the middle. There’s a trap door under a rug in front of the hot tub, and damp stains on the short side near the wall.

We came for a relaxing vacation and left more tired than when we arrived. For three days the room was cold, damp, and musty, with a sagging bed hollowed out in the middle that made sleeping impossible. It was February, and the only heat came from air conditioning that didn’t work properly. When we reported it, we were told it had worked until the day before we arrived. That wasn’t an acceptable answer. Mold was visible in the bathroom, on the tub and shower, and in the room on the ceiling. They kept saying it was “just condensation,” but it was mold, and we breathed it in for three days. There were also a broken, dangerous outlet under the sink, a hair dryer that didn’t work, a heavily encrusted showerhead that barely let water through, and a broken diverter. Supplies were skimpy: a tiny shower gel and one toilet roll for two people over four days. Breakfast was all industrial, packaged supermarket snacks. We made an official complaint and asked for a refund, which was unfairly refused. The owner only came to clean and restock the bathroom and breakfast on the third and final day, just as we were leaving. It felt late and unnecessary, as if only to save face. Later guests may find the bathroom clean, but the ceiling mold, sagging bed, and other problems will still be there, and clearly don’t matter. Luxury is only in the name. Three days in those conditions was unacceptable. Absolutely not recommended. Stay away. Never again.
