Grand Hotel Wagner

The staff were very good, and the location was great. Our rooms were clean, though some were noisy. We were moved a couple of times before they found us a suitable room. The female manager was really nice, flexible and focused on finding a solution. For the price, it feels fair, though I'd put it closer to four stars than five.

I came back after last staying here in 2023 and found the service just as professional. The old-fashioned hotel was clean and comfortable, with a great bar and excellent breakfast. Staff were friendly and ready to help with any questions or problems. I’d suggest updating the bathroom amenities, since I can’t imagine the current ones being very useful these days. Starting breakfast 30 minutes earlier would also be ideal. I’ll stay here again on my next visit to Palermo.

The people here made the stay especially nice. Everyone was kind and helpful, and Davide always remembered us, whether he was at the breakfast buffet or behind the bar. He'd say hello and make sure we had what we needed. The rooms and hotel were gorgeous and spacious, and the central location put lots of good food, shops and entertainment within walking distance. We’d recommend it and hope to return. Grazie! -Zac and Rachel Creel

The personal service was the best part of our three nights at Grand Hotel Wagner. Everyone, from the doormen and baggage porters to the front desk staff, was friendly and welcoming. Davide served breakfast on two mornings and deserves a special thank you. He was warm, genuine and very kind, with thoughtful attention that made the whole stay feel special. Our family had three rooms, all beautifully appointed with lovely toiletries, nice towels, nespeesso machines and tea pots. The bar was wonderful and reasonably priced, and breakfast was included, with a fabulous spread of treats. The hotel sits in the old section of town and has beautiful gilded light fixtures and architectural details. Outstanding in every way!
