A nice place with historical significance, and I’d stay here again. Get here early and you should be able to find a parking spot. We parked by the museum out front. It’s close to everything. When you arrive, hop on one of those open-air hop-on, hop-off buses for 15euro and just enjoy.

The service from Wonderful Italy was superb, with helpful staff and great communication before we arrived. The apartment itself was clean, roomy, comfortable, and in great shape, just a five-minute walk from the city center. Even with all the activity nearby, it stayed really quiet. There’s also a lovely inner courtyard. We’d strongly recommend it. Thanks, Wonderful Italy 👍

Most things in Palermo are within a 15-minute walk from this apartment. It has everything you’d need for a short stay or a bit longer, and the personal service was great. We also got some awesome tips for places to eat and have drinks.

The booking through Wonderful Italy went smoothly, and the apartment is lovely: spacious, attractive, well equipped, and set in the quiet courtyard of the newly rebuilt palazzo owned by the Tomasi di Lampedusa family. Its private terrace is a nice touch. It’s only a few minutes’ walk from the center, in a peaceful spot. The kitchen looks good and has a dishwasher, a huge fridge, and a washing machine. There’s a toilet downstairs; upstairs are a very large round bed and a small but pleasant bathroom. It takes a long time for the water to heat up, though that’s probably down to the building’s plumbing. We didn’t sleep especially well because the mattress is VERY firm. That’s our preference, of course, and someone who likes a hard mattress may be happy with it. I also like to settle in front of the TV with a blanket when I can’t sleep, but there’s just one large duvet, Mediterranean style, with a fabric cover on a sheet. That’s another personal preference issue. What really let the place down for us was the kitchenware. There’s a huge dishwasher but too few dishes to fill it, so it keeps running three-quarters empty. The plates are an awful, mismatched set of old florals in three designs. The cutlery is the cheapest kind, with loose plastic handles, and there isn’t a proper kitchen knife. For that, I’ve taken off a point.
