The room was spotless, had everything we needed, and was so quiet. We were only there for three nights, which felt too short. Giovanni made us feel welcome straight away, and he was great at chatting while still giving us space. Breakfast was something we looked forward to each morning, with fresh pastries and a different local cake. Grazie mille Giovanni.

We spent a week here with our 10 month old and had a really good stay. The room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast service and staff were great. Would definitely recommend it.

We had a good stay, and the price felt fair for what was on offer, at the upper end of 3-star accommodation. Giovanni was kind and thoughtful, and the early check-in and chance to leave our bags after check-out were much appreciated. The room was clean, with two small balconies, a minibar, and a kettle with tea. Coffee in the room would have been a nice extra. Breakfast was lovely too, with good coffee, milk for our child, fresh fruit, and tasty Italian pastries. The location worked well for us. It’s outside the historic center, but we could easily walk to the main sights. The room was quiet, though the bed itself was soft and squeaked a lot, which made sleeping difficult. There were a couple of things that bothered us. The curtains were strongly perfumed, leaving the room with an artificial smell that faded somewhat but never disappeared. And even in April, there were lots of mosquitoes. We got bitten plenty on the first night. An electric repellent we bought helped, but mosquito nets or a heads-up for guests would make a difference. We’d still recommend Giovanni’s place to people visiting Palermo.

Giovanni puts real effort into making guests feel looked after. The rooms are nice, with a large, well-equipped bathroom, and we enjoyed the location. It’s a little away from the center, which made for a safe and peaceful stay. Breakfast is mostly sweet, as is typical in the region, but you can ask for something savory and he’ll try to arrange it.
