The apartment was a lucky find, and I’m so glad we came across it. It’s an easy, pleasant walk of about 15 minutes to the Cathedral and Teatro Massimo. We drove, and there’s a large paid underground garage just across the street; a big supermarket and a pharmacy are only a few minutes away. Our unit had its own entrance from a side alley, so it was much quieter than the other apartments in the building, almost completely silent. The building is clean and well maintained, and the apartment feels brand new, with tasteful minimalist decor and everything well equipped. There were bottles of water in the fridge, a coffee and tea corner, and a jar of delicious cookies. The bed was excellent, the duvet had just the right thickness, and the linens were a delight. The towels were soft, three per person. I’ll just attach a photo of the pillowcase, the sort you’d find at Grandma’s house, such a nostalgic touch! For an extra €15, laundry and drying service is available. That seemed very reasonable, especially since our clothes came back the same day, dry, neatly folded, and smelling wonderful. Stays longer than three nights include complimentary cleaning and fresh towels and sheets, which is rare in apartments. And Salvo deserves a lot of credit. He was exceptionally kind, helpful, and communicative, checking in with us daily to offer recommendations and make sure we had what we needed. One night after 11:00 p.m., even though he was sick himself, he brought medicine to the apartment for my husband and saved us a lot of hassle and frustration. He’s exactly the kind of host you’d want. I can’t recommend the apartment and its wonderful owner highly enough.
