The apartment itself was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the palazzo is beautiful. The trouble was its industrial-area location. Our windows looked onto a construction site, and the noise began early in the morning, even on Saturday.

We found the Palazzo very secure, with a lovely entrance opening onto a courtyard. There’s free parking outside and a lift in the building. The laundry by reception is free to use, with a washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. It used to be a Prince’s home in the 18th century and sits in a very quiet part of Palermo by the Port. Walking into the center took us about 30 minutes, which we didn’t mind. Francesco was excellent, polite and professional, and dealt with a couple of minor issues quickly and efficiently. The hotel has been nicely renovated, was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay.

The Montalbano quartet played ABBA and Queen at a Candlelight concert in this little palace by the Palermo harbor. It felt like a dream. The music and surroundings seemed to touch every sense. Such a hidden gem.

I hadn’t even heard of this palace until the CANDLELIGHT event gave me the chance to go inside. It’s amazing, and the concert atmosphere was fabulous. Definitely a great venue for events!
