Palermo al Centro - Appartamento Maestri

The apartment suited our long weekend with friends perfectly and offered excellent value for money. I found it while looking on Booking.com for a place to explore Palermo as tourists. Its location is convenient for the central station, just a five-minute walk away. Punta Raisi is about 40 minutes to an hour from there. The apartment is near Via Roma but farther inland, so it was very quiet, especially on weekends when nightlife gets busy. There's also a handy Lidl nearby. The apartment is independent from the other apartments at the same street number, though they're close by. It's clean and well maintained, with interiors that look recently renovated. The space has two levels. Downstairs there's a single bed, wardrobe, bathroom, and kitchen with an electric oven, refrigerator, freezer, plenty of cookware, a coffee maker, and a Nespresso machine. Upstairs, reached by stairs, are a bedroom with a double bed and another bed, plus a bathroom with a shower. Outside, a drying rack and table made it handy to eat outdoors on mild evenings. Breakfast was laid out on the entrance table when we arrived. There were corn flakes, oats, toast, biscuits, and jams in single-use packets, always more than enough. The fridge had fresh milk, bacon, eggs, and assorted fruit-flavored yogurts. There was coffee for the moka pot, Nespresso-compatible capsules, a teapot, and several Twinings tea bags.

We were very satisfied and grateful for our stay. The air-conditioned apartment was clean and quiet, with a nice, helpful owner. It's right in the city center and feels like a safe place to relax, with the nightlife just one street away. Lidl is a two-minute walk. The entrance seating area is nicely designed, and there are useful extras like a hairdryer, freezer, lots of storage, and a safe for valuables. The shower cubicle is modern, though the floor gets wet no matter how careful you are. I think a mop would be needed. Thank you for having us.

Live music in the evenings, lively bars, and tasty food everywhere, from restaurants to street food. It's a really atmospheric spot for soaking up the city, and it delivers.
