The host was polite and helpful, which is why I’m giving three stars, but I can’t recommend the place. The neighborhood is fairly okay. Walking from there to the center can be a workout if you’re up for it, otherwise there are taxis, though watch out because they rip you off. My room was just meh, not as clean or as new as other people say, and the furniture felt cheaply made. The bed was horrible and uncomfortable, and the room was humid. There was no water. The building used a pump drawing from a tank right outside my window, and whenever anyone used water the pump made a terrible noise that kept me up all night. The bathroom had mold, and the shower wasn’t very practical.

The air conditioning is in every room, and breakfast was really good, especially the cappuccino and ricotta brioches. It’s a simple place but has everything you need for a Palermo stay. The spot is between the city center, about 30 minutes on foot or 15-20€ by taxi, and the tourist port, about 20 minutes walking.

A really bad hotel chain, if you can even call it a hotel. Palermo In Suite had no hot water, and the owner wouldn’t refund me so I could move to a proper hotel.
