B&B Ponticello

Cristina was a lovely, communicative host and made sure everything went smoothly. She even gave me a bottle of wine for my birthday. The apartments are great, and the place is right in the middle of fantastic Palermo, with loads of good bars and restaurants a few minutes away and the bus/train station about a 10-minute walk. A fantastic stay. Back soon, and thank you!

Cristina was fantastic, really friendly and helpful. She suggested places to visit and even helped us book restaurants since we don't speak Italian. We had a great time and would absolutely stay again. The apartment was an ideal base for exploring Palermo and nearby towns, with lots of room, great air conditioning, and a very clean, comfortable feel. Definitely recommended! 🌟

The kitchen was fully equipped, and having a clothes washer was wonderful. I speak Italian, but there weren't any English channels on the TV. You can connect it to YouTube and watch things in any language. The apartment also has two Juliet balconies, one looking over the piazza where I parked my rental car and Belli Freschi Gelato, the best gelato shop in Palermo. I walked everywhere and felt the neighborhood was safe and relatively clean, though it's Palermo. I'd stay here again. A couple of small things mattered to me. There was a Nespresso machine but only one capsule. For a five-star apartment, I'd have liked a dozen, and I had trouble finding Lavazza capsules nearby. If guests will keep getting one pod, please mention it in the welcome letter so they can bring their own. I'm glad the machine was there, though. Bring toiletries too. The bath gel came in minuscule sachets and was also meant to serve as shampoo, and the provided soap bars were tiny. I usually carry my own bar of soap, but guests should know they'll need to buy soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The owner could explain that the small samples are just for arrival, not the whole stay. I almost gave four stars over this, but it was minor compared with how good everything else was. I spent ages researching Palermo apartments and chose Ponticello for its near-perfect reviews, accurate photos, location for a first-time solo visitor, security, size, comfort, elevator, street parking right outside, and price. From arrival to departure, the staff were exceptionally kind, respectful, helpful, and friendly. Cristina and her team made me feel welcome and appreciated. Chapaux! The apartment was spotless, and the bed, sheets, and pillows were comfortable. I walked around easily, and the place had everything else I wanted. If you want perfection, bring Nespresso pods and toiletries.

Christina was a gem, quick to respond and full of useful tips and restaurant recommendations. When we were cooking and realized there was no salt, the staff went out to get some, even though I hadn't asked. They clearly care about their guests. The apartment was spotless, modern, and huge, with three Juliet balconies in ours and everything we needed for a few nights. It was quiet but just a few streets from all the action. There were stairs and an elevator, handy with groceries, and the bed, pillows, and sheets were great. The shower pressure was fantastic too. The location made it easy to walk to the large market, the four corners, shops, and restaurants. The grocery store was eight minutes away, and the train station about fifteen. Couldn't ask for more in Palermo. Can't wait to return, and I'd happily recommend Ponticello Apartments.
