We could easily walk into the center of Palermo, and the sea view was beautiful. The owner was very helpful and even answered a phone query after hours about self-service late check-in. Great service, and the air conditioning was great. Everything was very clean.

The apartment had everything we needed. It was a really nice, clean place to stay in Palermo, and better than we expected.

The owner sent a maintenance man after we reported the problems, but all he could tell us was to “be patient.” We’d hoped to relax in Palermo for a day after a summer of work, but that didn’t happen. The house was dirty, most of the lights didn’t work, and street noise came through. We ended up going out to buy cleaning cloths and detergent. A terrible experience.

There’s a beautiful view over the ferry port, and the balcony is a great spot for sunrise. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the city center and ten minutes to the trapezoidal marina, where restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops line the port. One thing to know about parking: people sitting on chairs in the streets manage it, so drive around to look for a free space.

We stayed from April 27 to 30, 2023, with three people. The location is good for getting to the center and other areas outside the restricted traffic zone, though the apartment is right in front of the port. Cleanliness needs a serious rethink, and the shower and toilet should be updated. The sofa can’t really count as a third bed.
